1. Look in the Settings app for an entry named "Developer options". If you don't see it, follow these instructions to unhide it:
    • Launch the Settings app.
    • Look for the entry labeled "Build number". Some places it might be are: “about phone”, “about device”, “about tablet”, or “software information”
    • Click "Build number" seven times and a message will pop up saying that "You are now a developer!"
    • Go back to the first screen of the Settings app. Scroll to the System section and there should now be an option named "Developer options."
  2. Trigger the problem: do whatever you need to do to make the problem happen again.
  3. Launch the Settings app.
  4. Click "Developer options".
  5. Look for the option "USB debugging" and click it to check the box if it's not already checked. If you checked the box, click OK to confirm that this option should be turned on.
    • Just because the option is named "USB debugging", it does not mean that you should connect your device to your computer. All that matters is that the option is enabled on your device. You shouldn't ignore this step just because you won't be connecting your device to a computer. The option has to be enabled or subsequent steps may not work.
  6. Look for the option "Take bug report" and click it.
    • If this option is disabled, it's possibly because you didn't check the box for "USB debugging" as described in the previous step.
  7. Click "Report".
  8. Wait a while (perhaps up to a few minutes or so) while the device compiles the bug report.
  9. Android may ask how you want to send the report (e.g., email or Dropbox). If it does, choose email. If it doesn't ask, access your device's notification bar and there should be an entry saying that the bug report has been captured and that you can touch to share it – please do so.
  10. You should now be in your email program. Type help.santaragione@gmail.com in the To field. If you can, please add the information below, then send the email.
    • What is the problem, and what were you doing when the problem occurred?
    • Which model of device are you playing on and which version of Android is your device running?
